umm yeah we went to croatia for outlook. pula is so beautiful but definitely wouldn't go back to outlook in a million years. it was WAY too agro and the security way to ex-kgb for my liking. croatia is so beautiful though. one day i'll go back and have a better experience hopefully, but we made the most of it and tried to have our own messed up version of a family holiday!

this video is why i was in vegas! blood sweat and tears went into this! was a true labour of love! i styled this video which was for my bf james aka l-vis 1990 who also co-directed alongside his childhood best friend director matt nee. cindy & chachi are the real life couple we scouted out there and totally fell in love with! this video is the first part of 4 so look out for the others! the debut album 'neon dreams' is out october 3rd so go cop it!

hi! it's been crazy out here in the world. everything's happened. i moved house on monday, back into hackney, one of the neighbourhoods that was hard hit by the recent london riots. everyone here has a different opinion on the matter, but the bottom line is there is a big problem here. something has gone seriously wrong or has been heading in this direction for decades and the current government really has to look at the infrastructure of the youth generation of today. i love this city, was horrible seeing whole areas ripped apart. such a sad week. so so sad.

i know im kinda late doing my amy winehouse post, but to be honest i took it so much harder than i ever imagined i would. when i found out i was driving down to brighton with my boyfriends dad and i spent the whole car journey balling in the backseat. i know we all knew this could happen but it still shocked me to my core. i used to live in camden and i saw amy around quite often, not always steady on her feet but never without a smile and full of laughter.

I know everyone was rushed to talk about the '27 club' but as the great greg wilson quoted "the press quickly picked up on this fascinatingly morbid fact, but there’s no hyperbole here, for Amy Winehouse was one of the few artists of the modern era who can be spoken about in the same breath as the aforementioned icons."

sleep well amy. i hope your tortured soul has found peace. you'll be beyond sorely missed. x

last wednesday night i went along to to judge the final heat of burger queen.

burger queen is a beauty contest that celebrates all things big, bodacious & beautiful.

the contestants were all super original, charming and came in various sizes!

fellow judges were my dear friend kate moross, legendary princess julia, opera supremo le gateau chocolate, illamasqua and hairdresser to the stars nina budden.

there were 3 rounds: style, talent and for round 3 contestants had to bring in their signature dish.

the winning contestant did the most unbelievable opera cover of rihanna 'man down' while dutty wining in colourful metallic spandex and huge hoop earrings. she was my favorite for sure!

I spent last friday in a tv studio audience in wembley fighting, hooting, crying shouting all in the name of my dear friend marawa who was competing in the semi-final of britains got talent! it was by far the weirdest experience i've ever had. i totally underestimated the experience! such highs & lows and adrenaline crashes. marawa didn't win but she definitely did us all proud! we love you marawa the amazing!

I've been modelling on and off since I was 13 I've always had fun but I never thought it was important.
I feel differently now. Everyday, whether it's through my blog or whatever, my life has more purpose
because I'm doing this. There are plenty of plus size models, but there are hardly any that represent
the mixed-culture generation that we're living in.

Part of the problem with the female body image comes from having so much access to unrealistic bodies. Celebrities are everywhere but there are hardly any role models that show that you can be beautiful
over a size 12. I get emails and letters from women all over the world about this, people who are sick
of being told that if you're not a tiny size 6, you can't look beautiful in clothes.

With my career at the moment, I'm stuck in a gap. Some plus size brands won't work with me because
I'm too "fashion," but fashion brands won't work with me because I'm plus size. It's and uoward struggle
but I'm doing my best to make my own imprint.

Fashion is so important to me. It runs in my family - my parents had a vintage business in Japan and it's
something I've been surrounded by since I was a kid. One of my favourite things about it is that it's
supposed to be challenging and that every day, you can change your mind about who you want to be,
you don't need to fit a cookie-cutter shape to look great. I know for a fact that using a good plus size
model creates a positive image. Our beauty and variety are part of fashion.
